"Ordered teri chicken & mac salad for a family party. The portions were generous, we had so much food! Everyone raved about the Teri chicken, so moist and flavorful. I’m also very picky about Mac salad, I love theirs. The owners are just the sweetest people too. This is my go to place for Hawaiian food in the area. Go check them out!"

"Authentic Hawaiian comfort food! I was born and raised in Hawaii and this place is legit. Great service from the owners too and the food was sooo delicious! I ordered the combo kalbi ribs and garlic shrimp and my mom ordered kalbi ribs and garlic chicken. We went back to order a kalbi plate for my husband so he could try it ! Cant wait to tell my hawaii friends and fam about this place. Tastes like home"

The kalua pig & cabbage is always a must. That savory, juicy flavor keeps you coming back for more. Loco moco lovers, take note: the rich mushroom and onion gravy smothering the patty made every bite pure comfort, especially paired with mac salad and rice. Total food bliss. Garlic shrimp? Say less. Every bite was packed with flavor—a must for garlic lovers! And to wash it all down? We sipped on a refreshing island passion orange drink and luau punch. So good! "Absolutely phenomenal flavors and cuisine directly from the islands of Hawai'i. I'm from O'ahu and the food brought me right back home. Delicious authentic local and Hawaiian food that you gotta try! Great food for solid prices and awesome portions! I was so full and had tons left for later. Lots of parking in the area and easy to see their orange truck next to the Fussy Duck antique shop. Much Mahalos for incredibly delicious food, we'll be back again most definitely!"

"I haven't wrote a food review in a hot minute, but I felt compelled to write one today because of this incredible food truck that just joined the Salem area! After seeing some of Island Grubz videos on social media, we immediately said we have to try this Hawaiian food, as finding solid "Grubz" is very difficult around here! I grabbed the Garlic Chicken while my significant other grabbed a Kalbi (Short Rib) & Garlic Shrimp combo plate. I'd like to note that the Shrimp does come with shell on - so if this isn't for you(you don't like the shell on), it's VERY easy to remove, Iiterally falls right off as you pull. The inside of the shrimp was a perfect color, cook and very flavorful. The Garlic Chicken was VERY crispy outside/juicy inside, and the Kalbi was oh-so-tasty from the grilled char! Special note for the Hawaiian Mac: as a Mac lover, this is spot on and I'd come back just for the Hawaiian Mac! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't stress enough when I say that this food tasted "clean" -- everything tasted as it should and wasn't greasy, fatty, over/under cooked, nothing mingled together. This was 100% what you see is what you get and this was some of the best Hawaiian food we've had in a VERY long time. We couldn't end this without trying one of their Shaved Ice .. and we learned what a Snow Cap was! (condensed milk "top" that adds a creaminess as it melts into the ice and flavoring!!) The Ube was , and if you want a sweet treat, definitely you'll get it from the Shaved Ice! All-in-all? Incredible food, wholesome customer service and would absolutely recommend. If you live in the Salem area, you MUST go try Island Grubz On The Go! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Great new addition to Salem food scene! Located in the Fussy Duck parking lot. We ordered the garlic chicken and the kalua pork plates. All of it was excellent but the garlic chicken was the winner! So delicious. Excellent portion sizes. White rice probably is the only thing that could have been better as it was a bit smushy. We will be by weekly to support this brand new food truck. Super nice folks!"
